This class is designed for students to observe the characters’ gestures and draw them effortlessly. Action drawings will come along easy once the guides for body drawings are understood. Did you know that everything in the world are made of circles, triangles, and rectangles? Similarly, drawing characters will be much simpler if those characters’ actions are distinctively viewed as circles, triangles, and rectangles. This course will lead students to be able to easily draw simple gestures, and add partial colors to enhance the project’s finish.
Generally, recognizing bone and muscle compositions and such are helpful for dynamic action drawings; however, for younger students, observing and understanding the figures’ movements and shapes prove more effective. At the end of this course students will be able to shape various actions in detail.
Classes are held over Zoom. Teachers use both digital and traditional modes of drawing to illustrate examples. Students have a choice of using a document camera or their default laptop/tablet camera to show their faces and communicate with the teachers and peers.
