Description
This class teaches techniques step by step to help students advance their artistic skills. Each project is completed over the span of two classes. Students will also develop their expressiveness through forming ideas, organizing observations, and making analysis. The curriculum instructs students through the basics and methods of drawing, as well as introducing the different characteristics of certain drawing mediums, thereby allowing students to master the foundations of art. The course focuses on making technique-centered art education less intimidating and instead more enjoyable. It aims to later bring individual students to the point where they can fill up their own portfolios.

Classes are held over Zoom. Teachers use both digital and traditional modes of drawing to illustrate examples. Students have a choice of using a document camera or their default laptop/tablet camera to show their faces and communicate with the teachers and peers.
