Description
In this class, students will learn tips and tricks of pencil and pen drawing, from the basic how to’s to situational instructions. Each project is completed over the span of two classes. Blindly copying the drawings has no real artistic value—which is why this class guides students through what and why certain techniques need to be done the way they are, thus allowing the students to understand and later use those pieces of knowledge to apply to their own drawings. Students will learn to observe the objects and sketch them by utilizing various textures and ambiances that a single drawing utensil can express. Furthermore, students will learn to enhance the drawing’s atmosphere by coloring certain parts. At the end of this class, students will be able to produce their own superb artworks of drawing.

Classes are held over Zoom. Teachers use both digital and traditional modes of drawing to illustrate examples. Students have a choice of using a document camera or their default laptop/tablet camera to show their faces and communicate with the teachers and peers.
